Plateau Kennels is a clean facility.  Jennifer provides the animals with a loving and caring social environment. Individual and medical needs are addressed and followed through to create a well-adjusted stay for the pets.

We have been taking our dog, Midnight, to Plateau Kennels “Camp Jens” about ten times a year for the past three years. Jen has always been responsive when we need to make a reservation; whether she is able to answer the phone or needs to get back to us, she is prepared to make the reservation accurately and without delay. All dates and times, without exception, go exactly as planned.

Midnight gets incredibly excited when he hears he is going to “Camp Jens” and is out of control with excitement when we get there. Jen shows an incredibly personal liking towards Midnight as well as all of her boarders and is passionate in running her business. Taking Midnight to Plateau is a 45 minute round trip for us in the wrong direction from our usual travel route but is and will remain the only choice for us.

I’m writing to thank you for that last “overnight” we spent together. As usual, you greeted me enthusiastically with hugs and kisses and proceeded to provide me with a most memorable stay. I’m afraid I can no longer deny that you are my “Secret Love”.

Jen, I really look forward to our trysts. You are always so considerate and caring and our “playtimes” are wonderful. You know I am a mutt – rescued from a shelter – and not a purebred champion. Still, you treat me like I am the best dog in the world and I love you for that.

While my mistress and master are sometimes a little frugal, forgive them. They are old, retired and removed from the mainstream. They remember when gasoline was 18.9¢ per gallon and haircuts cost $1.50. On the bright side, neither one complains about your charges, for my maintenance, because they are reasonable. Besides, they know you will take good care of me. They don’t like to worry when they go on short trips. They know you love me as much as they love me. They call this “Peace of Mind” and they claim it is invaluable. Of course, I am delighted because that means I will be able to visit you more in the future.

Since I have your attention, let me apologize for my deportment while you cut my toenails today. I whined and made it hard for you because I can’t stand to have my nails cut. It’s nothing personal, it seems inherent. Even I can’t understand it because I really like to be touched by you. I will try to be better in the future – I promise!

I have been pleased to use Plateau Kennels since I moved to New Jersey 5 years ago. My two dogs are rambunctious and overly enthusiastic, but Jen handles them with patience and competence. It makes traveling so much easier since I know they will be well taken care of while I am gone.
